Day 8. Armidale 24.10.23

A chilly 6° overnight.
Early morning walk with Gail and Quilpie around the showgrounds.

After breakfast in the sunshine we headed off to see the first of the waterfalls,  Dangars Falls.

Dangars Falls,  just a trickle of water but still spectacular. Normally a 120m drop.
Dangars gorge.

Taken further around the gorge.
After a snack break we drove, 40kms, to Bakers Creek Falls, which had even less water flowing.  The gorge was pretty spectacular anyway.

This area was burnt out by a deliberately lit grass fire (according to the Park Ranger). Some logs were still smouldering.

A hot afternoon back at the vans doing chores, early blogging and a little rest before we head off to see the Arboretum.

The only nice part of the Arboretum was this 'lake' the rest was dry and very hot.

Short video of the lake
